The concerns continue



Hello once more cherished reader.  Now where were we?  Ah yes I had been to see a man in my pants so he could manipulate me.  Well not great news in that I am still feeling quite a lot of pain when I’m running.  I went for an 8k run the day after the appointment and by the end I was hurting a bit again.  Not as bad as the last run but enough.

I’m sure this is an injury that I can get over but I have two major concerns:
1 – I won’t get over it in time for the GNR
2 – I will start to lose fitness while getting better and my time will suffer in the GNR

So on Thursday I went for a swim.  I had company as well.  A friend of mine who I used to work with sent me a text out of the blue so a-swimming we went.  It is really good to train with people and looking back over this whole training lark I think some of the hardest parts has been not training with someone, except of course you dear reader and for that I am most grateful.

Never to be one to fully learn a lesson though I decided that I needed to get some more distance in my legs so I devised a 4k route and ran round it a few times on Sunday night.  I managed 14k before the pain was really bad.  It was a pretty was a pretty easy route but I was sore from about 6k in so it’s hard to judge how good the time was.  I am a little concerned that this is turning into self harm.

Anyway I have another appointment to see my physio to try and get this sorted.  I will keep up some sort of training in the meantime.  If my leg falls off in the GNR I will hop to the finish....
